A few tips that will help you better be prepared and ready for your move:

1. Prior to your move day, purge and sort all your our items.

2. Research and comparison. Get cost estimates and list of services from at least 3 moving companies.

3. Order all the packing material that you will be using at least few week prior your move day. Make sure your boxes are not too heavy and all the items are properly wrapped.

4. Make sure to sort out all your frozen and perishable foods and cleaning supplies.

5. Take measurements of your new place and make sure that all your furniture will fit.

6. Clearly label and number each box.

7. Make sure to keep valuable items (including prescription pills, artwork, any antiques, etc.) are in your possession and you’ll personally take them to your new home.

8. Make sure that you defrost your freezer. Refrigerator needs to be clean, empty and ready to go.

It is beneficial to you to know approximately how much your move will cost and how much extra packing material will be required to accommodate your needs. At Spring Valley moving we provide a variety of storage options for ether short or long term storage. We charge based on an hourly rate. The rate begins as soon as our team arrives at your place and begins the actual moving process; this includes loading furniture and the entire drive to the new location, plus the unloading. California law requires moving companies to charge double driving time. For example, a 20-minute drive will be charged for 40 minutes. Should there be stops in between the trip, all these will be reflected in the total moving time at the end of the process.
